The regional district hopes to go online in mid-October with a web portal intended to highlight investment opportunities to the Asian market.
Funding for the project comes from the federal government, which dedicated $35,000 for development.
"The web portal is designed to bring in Pacific gateway investors," said Ron Storie, director of community services for the TNRD. "It's the international market in the China and Japan area."
It will be one of four in B.C.
The websites are intended to showcase the regional economy, highlighting investment opportunity, including in agriculture, mining and forestry.
Storie said investment opportunities featured on the website will include at Ashcroft Terminal, an inland port beside the two national railways.
