SH: Students hold transgender rally, vigil

A group of students at Thompson Rivers University will hold a Transgender Day of Remembrance on Nov. 20 in the Multi-Purpose Room, Residence and Conference Centre at Thompson Rivers University. The annual event is described as time to honour and remember the numerous people murdered every year because of their gender expression. Too often victims are left unidentified, said organizer Larkin Schmiedl. A workshop leading to the vigil will take place Nov. 19 in the TRU Student's Union Boardroom.
